Talk Like Tigers

About

Talk Like Tigers are an emerging electro pop band from the North East of England consisting of twins – Charlotte and Stephanie, who are singers, songwriters and musicians.

Their music is brand new and is showered with the glittering harmonies that only siblings can produce, harmonies which have taken the twin sisters around the world touring as Duffy’s backing singers. They soaked up everything they could on their travels and did as much as possible from jamming with the Killers on a grand piano to dancing on bars in quirky clubs in Tokyo. Their travels have certainly influenced their writing and inspired the band to create something truly different.

Talk Like Tigers have played notable festival and headliner gigs, including Generator’s Evolution Emerging Festival and Northern Electric Festival. They have also supported BBC 6 Music favourites, Samaris. Their self released singles Animalistic and Gunning, have attracted the attention of BBC Introducing leading them to record a BBC live session. Recently, they have been played on the Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1.

The band accepted a UBeat Music Award for the best electronic Act of the Year 2016 and performed live at the award show in the O2 Academy Newcastle, which will be broadcast on television.

Tropical was released in December and is the first single from the band’s self-titled debut EP. The lead single It isn’t Over from the EP is out on 27th January 2017, with the full EP released on 24th February 2017.

The EP will be launched with a special gig in Newcastle on Saturday 4th March at Think Tank? Underground, Head of Steam, Newcastle, Tickets can be found at www.talkliketigers.com
