Biography

London based Alternative Rock band influenced by Trip Hop, Dark Wave and Psychedelia.

Founded by Silty and Mo Stellato The Actions played hundreds of gigs in Europe including MTV On Stage, the Arezzo Wave Love Festival, the Heineken Jammin' Festival, opening for R.E.M.Green DayGarbageDistillersI Am Kloot

The Actions soon began winning band competitions making inroads in the UK. They received a rousing reception at Liverpool's Cavern Club for two years in a row and airplay from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 thanks to Planet Funk's remix of their song 'The Real Thing'. Their first album Real has been licensed to Nikita Music in Rio De Janeiro and released across Latin America. After opening for Vasco Rossi at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno, The Actions signed a one-album publishing deal with Warner Chappell in Italy and their album Real was released in the rest of the world. Their single The Real Thing was included in the MTV US movie 'My Super Psycho Sweet 16' O.S.T. airing in USA and worldwide on MTV channels.

Vocalist Silty was invited by Tricky to perform with him on stage at Melkweg in Amsterdam ('False Idols' Tour ) after recording vocals on one of his unfinished tracks.

Recently The Actions have been introduced by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music with their new single 'The Echo' after being voted a  Fresh Fave by readers at Fresh On The Net. Then the single was released and supported intensively by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, Gary Crowley on BBC London and Simon Raymonde (Cocteau Twins/Bella Union) on Amazing Radio
The official video for The Echo was premiered exclusively on Nothing But Hope And Passion and it's gathering attention on the internet for its critical approach on Western Society.

Hot on the heels of single The Echo the band announced the release of a brand new EP with the single 'Counting All Days' whose video was exclusively premiered on Clash Magazine which described it as "an imposing introduction, all velvet noir and barbed production." 

The 5 tracks EP 'Indefensible' is out right now and available on the best digital stores via Niteo Records. It includes the new single 'So Still' which is receiving support by Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music and John Kennedy in his famous X-Posure radio show.

Indefensible is being streamed in full exclusively on GigSlutz which defined it "a dystopian dream that’ll pull you in and leave you wanting more."
