Nick, Ben and Josh all met in 2017 in sixth form. With Nick and Ben never having picked up an instrument they started learning the guitar in late 2017. Through late night practise in school classrooms they soon began to pick up chords from mainly playing Catfish and the Bottlemen songs. They then decided to form a band with their drummer Josh and began to write their own music using any free time they had possible. They progressed quickly and began started playing venues such as The Bullingdon and the Oxford 02 Academy aswell as playing the first This Feeling show for Oxford. Having recently released their new single “Beers abouts”, The Foliants now have aim to play at Truck Festival as they have made the band shortlist and have aspirations of playing throughout the UK, whilst increasing their portfolio on the way.
