From the hills of North London, The Krapy Rubsnif Community Band are tooting and clanging their way through a scramble of sounds. Jazz old and new can here be found among Irish reels, Norwegian folk songs, and most of the polyrhythms so far discovered by humans. Its players appear in a muddle of combinations from local jazz collectives, and at the right hour of night, you’ll catch them dealing in drum & bass, watering a home-grown meadow, or doing the washing up.
