The Lucky Andersons

About

The Lucky Andersons are a five-piece indie rock band from Tunbridge Wells, based in London. The band blend catchy vocals and riffs with a big trumpet section. After living and jamming together in Kentish Town for much of 2015, Sean and Matt invited childhood friends Harry and Paul to start a new band, channelling modern influences like Arctic Monkeys and The Whitest Boy Alive through to older bands like Madness and The Jam. The band’s shared love of ska sent them in search of brass, and they enlisted the services of trumpeter Connor Smither in mid-2016. The current sound blends sharp indie rock with a sophisticated jazzy edge. The band have gigged across London and the South East over the last year or so, been featured on BBC Introducing in Kent twice (May and November), and are now looking to take the music to more people. Key influences are The Jam, The Specials, Arctic Monkeys, Jamie T and The Whitest Boy Alive.
