The Magic Es

About

English pop-rockers The Magic Es play slices of rock n’ roll that showcase their knack for pure pop melodies, punkish energy and garage rock guitars.

Since forming in 2014, The Magic Es have been busy. All lifelong musicians with world tours, top 40 singles and a wealth of musical experience under their belts, the boys came together after a chance meeting at a wedding led to them finding common ground in the simple pleasures of classic records and high-energy rock n’ roll. As frontman Pete Thomson explains – “We’ve all been playing music for years. Stuart, Phil and I were playing at a friend’s wedding. The gig was in a marquee, which happened to be in Jasper’s garden. It turned out that Jasper not only had a garden fitting for a rock ‘n’ roll wedding; he was also a bass player of some pedigree and in the band Then Jerico. We shared stories about our various musical adventures, influences and aspirations and the band grew quickly from there”.

Their debut release Melody Jane received airplay on over 40 radio stations in the UK, USA and Australia, with BBC Introducing quick to reward their ear for melody with spins on BBC Norfolk and Britpop star Rick Witter making them Track of The Week on his Minster FM show.
