The Morning Retakes are a 4 piece blend of Post Punk and Rock and Roll from central Scotland. Born of frustration with their home town’s offerings, forming in early 2017 the band found solace in Glasgow and quickly immersed themselves, making their mark on the fast growing music scene.

The group composed of Jake Davies, David Traill, Chris Swan and Sean Mcleish cut their teeth supporting local bands such as Neon Waltz, The Snuts, Rascalton, The Dunts and Heavy Rapids at venues including the world renowned King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.

Set to return to King Tut’s having been asked to headline their “New Year’s Revolution” and with their new single “Pavement” recorded at 7West with Chris Marshall (Gerry Cinnamon) and Johnny Madden of Baby Strange now finding its place on radio stations and playlists across the UK, 2019 is set to be an exciting year for The Morning Retakes.
