The Rhetoriks are an Electronic Dance/Urban music recording artists made up of Scottish songstress Elle & London born rapper Jay. They formed in late 2013 after a call for collaborators was put out on Twitter, through BBC 1xtra DJ Target’s hashtag ‘Targets Notice Board’ and found that they were featured on the same track through a mutual acquaintance. Together they share an undeniable musical chemistry that has seen them perform at a variety of club venues and festivals such as Manchester’s Big Weekend, Stereofunk Festival, Edinburgh Pride, Newcastle Pride, The Classic Grand and many more. They have featured on the same bill as big names in the electronic dance scene like Oliver Heldens, Armin Edge & Dance, W&W, Sven Vath, Paul Oakenfold, Defected In The House and many more.
Career highlights include independently gaining a top 20 (TAKE MY SOUL AWAY #16) & top 10 (YEAH I DO #9) position in the UK commercial club chart with 2 of their single releases. They have picked up great support on the Electronic dance music scene with DJ’s such as BlasterJAXX, Jack Eye Jones and Timmy Trumpet adding their new single ‘Stand Together’ into their Podcasts and sets. Recently they featured on a single release “We Love The DJ” with DJ/Producer Sean Norvis, which was signed and released by one of Romania’s biggest record labels ‘Cat Music,’ gaining great support from DJ’S and fans globally. The Rhetoriks also became semi-finalist of the UK Songwriters 2016 competition with their Dementia inspired song “Unspoken”
