So good, we love The Rotanas here!” – Janice Long, BBC Radio Wales Forming in May 2017, and quickly establishing a solid reputation in their local scene fornoise and attitude, now bigger and better than ever, The Rotanas have a unique sound and presence about them. “I don’t know if we are a horrible mess of beautiful things or a beautiful mess of horrible things, but we work” – Frontman Leggy on the band. The Rotanas have received airplay on BBC Radio all around the country and across various other radio stations such as Radio X and Sirius XM. Having sold out shows in Cardiff’s iconic Clwb Ifor Bach, sharing stages with Black Grape, Peter Doherty, Kyle Falconer of The View and The Fratellis, and playing the Isle of Wight Festival, they are just getting started. Their latest release Hurry Up, The Hole’s About to Close is a bold step into their new soundscape, taking influence from early 90s Verve & Blur, BJM, Slowdive, and of course, the other greats. The Rotanas headed back into the studio in April this year to record an EP, due out Autumn 2022, with Nick Brine (Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Verve) and Jon Constantine (Public Service Broadcasting, Tom Odell).
