‘The Witty Featherstones’ are an acoustic duo from Liverpool. They met whilst studying at Paul McCartney’s institute, The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) in Liverpool. Their lead singer is Chris Mohan, 25 and Irish. Lead Guitarist Django Holder is 22 and from Manchester.
‘The Witty Featherstones’ have been playing in the Liverpool and North-West area for three years now and have gained a substantial following.
They have played in countless venues in Liverpool and were the resident band at Django’s Riff, Wood St. Liverpool City Centre. They have consistently played at the Aintree Grand National for three years now and are booked to play again next year and for the first time the Epsom Races in Surrey.
They play mainly as an acoustic band but occasionally play with a full electric set-up. Their most usual set-up is two acoustic guitars and vocals with added harmonica and piano for some songs.
With over two hours of original music the band are able to play a full original set. They also perform as a cover band for various functions and events. With a range of modern day songs, classic Soul and Motown, Rock and Irish Folk songs their covers list covers audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Having recently moved to London the band are beginning work on their new album and beginning to get regular gigs in London.
