About

“With only a year in the making, this is a band that isn’t afraid to push indie conventions, mixing catchy lyrics with a pop stance and ebullient stage presence.” – Culture Fly

Formed after a chance encounter at a Smiths tribute gig, Brighton-ers This Party fuse sharp basslines with an instant melody to produce their own brand of drenched guitar-fueled pop.

Produced by Junk Scientist (The Rakes, Larrikin Love), their debut single ‘Movie Nights’ received a fantastic response being picked up by BBC Introducing and featured by Steve Lamacq, receiving several plays on his BBC 6 Music show throughout Autumn 2015.

This Party has since set up their own label Moscow Lets Go, which has just launched the new single ‘Money’. The single was played by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 and featured on BBC Introducing.

“The earworm guitar riff of “Money” has completely stolen my heart, not to mention it really delivers that Brighton-beach vibe I adore so much.” – The Daily Listening.

This Party release their first E.P ‘Lover’ on 15 May 2016. They consist of Hal Cleverdon on guitar, Marcus Gilham on bass, Tom Hodgson on drums and Matt MacNeill on vocals.
