Uncle Kid

About

Uncle Kid makes dark, broody, understated trip hop with spoken word. His debut EP, ‘Indistinct Chatter’ grabbed the attention of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson who describes him as an “unsettling Scottish artist” and hailed his first single, ‘Supermarket Sweep’ as “a song for our times”. Meanwhile, BBC Scotland’s Vic Galloway has drawn comparisons to Massive Attack and Arab Strap. He’s also earned many plaudits among prominent online blogs, with Total Rock describing his second single ‘Lamplig’ as “Wonderful, haunted folk charm and trip hop, a truly unique sound”.
