Upstarts - Hotvox

Formed in October 2023 in York, Upstarts are a four-piece indie/alternative rock band. Their name, taken from title of a 2013 Johnny Marr track, is a nod to one of the band’s key influences.

The lineup features Tom Foreman (vocals & rhythm guitar), James Littlefield (lead guitar), Mia Singh-Gelling (bass), and Tom Cashin (drums).

The band’s debut single, ‘When I Saw You’, gained traction in the York scene, with plays on Yorkshire’s local radio stations, amassing over 25,000 streams across platforms to date.

The band look forward to the release of their upcoming self-titled EP later this year.
