Val Maugenest is a singer and songwriter who was born and raised in the Netherlands. Val moved to London in 2011 to study music and immerse herself in the (London) music scene. After developing her original sound and songs over the last year, Val finished recording the songs for her debut EP in late November 2015 released her debut EP ‘20/20’ on March 28th (2016).

The single and the EP present a distinctive (new) genre, which combines Soul and Electronic music with Jazz influences. As this is the first time Val has released original music, she has been very careful to make sure her single and EP represent her fully as an artist and songwriter.

Val is currently busy with live performances in London (she has played venues like Century Club Soho and Amersham Arms) and is working on her next original music project.
