Australian, London based Singer/ Songwriter Vera Black has a unique heart-felt style of Folk/Soul/Rock…, as she puts it 'Modern Woodstock'.. that she blends into real music, touching on real issues. Black is distinguished by her powerful soul/blues voice and her unique song writing style, she melts beautiful, soaring melodies with difficult subjects to create a musical journey akin to the greats before her.

 

She sings about her life and experiences with maturity, depth and soul. The New Zealand born, London based artist started writing songs 10 years ago in her hometown of Perth WA and has gone from strength to strength since then, some of her noteworthy accolades include, 'Best Live Act' at the 2007 Musicoz Awards, Best Video' for 'Addictions' at the 2007 Digi Festival Florence Italy, 'Best Swag' at the IMA's 2008 NY USA, 'Best Cover Art' at the IMA's 2008 NY USA and the 'Grand Prize Winner' for 'Show Me The Music' International songwriting competition, for her song 'The Fool'.
