Weekends away

About

West Lothian band Weekends, who are said to be hitting the music scene in Scotland with a bang. The band was started by lead singer Jamie Lane and drummer David Montgomery when they were 14-year-old pupils at Broxburn Academy. Now, five years later, bassist Callum Race has since been added to the line up. They have amassed a considerable local following, thanks to appearances at Pumpherston’s Sing on the Bing and Party at the Palace in Linlithgow. Since then, they have branched out into the wider Scottish music scene and were a much talked about success at The Edinburgh Fringe.Their sound has been described as ‘extraordinary’ with Queen among the bands Weekends Away take inspiration from.
