White Heath

About

Formed in Edinburgh in 2007 and featuring brass, strings, guitars and synths, White Heath incorporate a contemporary music approach to the arrangement and instrumentation of alternative pop/rock.

They signed to Electric Honey records (Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol) off which they released their debut album "Take No Thought For Tomorrow', a dense and colourful collection of their early work. Recorded with an award winning production team consisting of producer/composer Jim Sutherland (2014 BBC Scotland Trad Composer of the Year) and engineer Graeme Steel (2014 Mercury Prize winners Young Fathers), the album received critical acclaim, gaining four stars in Mojo and featuring in numerous Scottish album of the year lists.

They have always maintained a desire for cross-media collaboration which has seen them write and perform with the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, work closely with the Scottish Poetry Library, and provide the score for the 2011 Scottish Green Party political broadcast, gaining national TV coverage.

Moving to London in 2013, they recently recorded and produced their latest EP Out of Angles, released in Autumn 2014. They will be in the studio in November so watch out for new material.
