WYRES are a melodic punk rock four-piece from Manchester with serious Myspace-era vibes. Formed at the worst time in history to start a band (March 2020), the aim was to capture a sound that’s melodic at heart while still raw around the edges – in the vein of Hot Water Music, Rise Against and Alkaline Trio.

Members of WYRES also played in Failsafe – who appeared on The Inbetweeners and the NBA2k11 soundtrack. So it’s no surprise WYRES’ sound captures an element of nostalgia.

January 2022 saw WYRES begin releasing material recorded over nearly two years of lockdown chaos – with a debut album slated for later in 2023.
