Duo of Electric Violin and Machines infused Theremin 

Zero Sun : Kurätaka is an experimental music duo formed by renowned artists Takatsuna Mukai and Ays Kura. Together, they explore the intersection of sound, image, and memory through immersive live performances and haunting soundscapes, united often with guests. 

Takatsuna Mukai 

Takatsuna Mukai is a Japanese violinist, composer, and multimedia artist renowned for his work in the avant-garde and underground art scenes. With a career spanning decades, Mukai has collaborated with artists ranging all across the worlds of music, theatre, art, and cinema. 

His approach to the violin—often filtered through electronics, looping, and extended techniques—pushes the instrument far beyond traditional boundaries. 

His past collaborators include Malcolm Poynter, Dragan Živadinov, Matekoi, Ryuzo Fukuhara, Jan Noble, and Zoetica Ebb. 

Ays Kura 

As multi-instrumentalist and composer, Ays Kura’s musical scope stretches over the boundaries of music genres. 
He collaborated and produced numerous artist, his work reflects an ongoing exploration of texture, structure, and atmosphere, drawing on influences as diverse as musique concrète, dystopian literature, and cinematic sound design. 

Ays Kura is best known as the creative force behind Die Kur, industrial metal band earning a cult following for its intensity and socio-political edge. 

His blend of harsh electronics with meditative drone sets a darkly cinematic tone that complements the duo’s experimental ethos.
