About

Anna is a London born singer songwriter. Anna is used to singing for large audiences, having performed at London’s largest shopping centres, Westfield, and also as a TfL busker, having gained a license from the Mayor of London’s Gigs: Big Busk competition in 2015. Singing covers on the Underground stage, she was often compared to the late, great Amy Winehouse and since produced her own tribute evening to the singer which has recently seen two sell-out shows in Central London’s Pizza Express Live venue. Anna started writing songs at school aged 17 but only released her debut single ‘Life’ in January 2018 and is set to release her debut EP ‘Her’ in Spring 2020. Just like her inspiration, Amy, Anna writes songs from personal experience. The EP, entitled ‘Her’, focuses on a female influences in Anna’s life and looks at topics such as grief, anxiety, verbal abuse and sibling rivalry. Releasing single ‘Words’from the upcoming EP in 2019, with striking artwork from contemporary artist Sarah Beth, the record received great praise from the popular online music blog House that Soul Built, as well as the famous Blues and Soul magazine who describe her voice as ‘luxuriant’. The magazine told readers to ‘catch her journey early’ as she has ‘more to come’. Anna is very excited to have been chosen from thousands of applicants to take part in the Isle of Wight New Blood competition 2020 and is looking forward to performing her new songs in front of industry professionals.
