Arcadia Roots

About

Arcadia Roots, are a four piece Worcestershire based band that combine many different styles including world, dance, reggae, blues and roots music to create their own, unique, crowd pleasing sound. The band were busy appearing at a number of festivals in 2018 including the main stage at Lakefest 2018, The One Love Festival near Glastonbury, The Green Gathering, The Sunshine Festival and others throughout the UK sharing the stage with such renowned acts as The Lightning Seeds, The Darkness, Aswad and Mel C. and already have a number of festivals booked for this year.

Quoted by Michael Eavis as “a great band”, Arcadia Roots won the Pilton Party Auditions in 2017 and went on to play at the Pilton Party alongside Bastille.

The jewel in the crown so far in 2018 year was being invited to play at the 70th Birthday Celebration of the late great John Bonham from Led Zeppelin and even to a hard core Zeppelin fan base, their Reggae version of Zep’s “Whole Lotta Love” went down a storm.

With 2 albums released, the band is just set to release a further 3 singles plus a full album in September this year to build on what is becoming a very successful year so far.

Arcadia Roots have been playing together for over 3 years having refined their skills working with touring bands from the area and write and perform all of their own material. Their vibe has been described as ‘earthy’ and ‘psychedelic’ and sits alongside the likes of Afro Celt, Dreadzone and My Baby with their combination of world, reggae and roots music.
