Chryssa Brown

About

Having picked up the guitar at the age of 24, Chryssa is a relatively new face to the music scene. Despite this, music has always been an important part of her life. Influences from the likes of James Taylor, Paul Simon, Lucy Rose and Ben Howard have inspired a focus upon lyrics which tell their own story. Growing up in Devon and with roots now in Portsmouth, Chryssa is not one to shy away from new adventures and she tries to encapsulate this spirit in her lyrics and melodies. She attributes her songwriting to real-life experiences of love, loss and places near and far.

Performances at music venues and festivals across south England – including the Wedgewood Rooms, Sidmouth Folk Festival and IceBreaker Festival – have been fueled by a love of connecting audiences with music. She enjoys every opportunity to perform live and is excited about all that 2018 will bring.
