Danny McMahon

About

Danny McMahon has written commercially for paramount songwriting and commercially in the UK country Music scene for a number of years but had never previously seen himself on the front line, as an artist. However, this all changed upon attending Country2Country Festival, London in March 2017 where his experience saw him begin to write lyrics that he felt he could only communicate due to the honest and personal nature of his new works.

As a result of his new-found love for country music and his honest and authentic melodic sound, Danny set up a Facebook page and began to place a selection of covers on his new social media platforms which have only aided in his notable impact within UK country music.

His passion for Country music began upon introduction to the famous Brad Paisley song ‘Letter to me’. He said he ‘connected with the songs’ realness and authenticity’. He became increasingly fixed upon the way country music uses emotive lyrics and shows such a great level of relatability. Danny takes his country influence through artists such as Thomas Rhett, Brett Young and Chase Bryant and wants to use his talent for songwriting to reach people through his music.

Danny began to record and produce his own country music at Puzzle Maker Studios, Bristol which led to the release of his debut EP ‘Making Memories’ in November, 2017. Since this release, Danny’s Facebook has reached over 1,000 likes, he has been voted best UK male country singer by HEM country radio and is currently No. 1 in the UK (country) Reverbnation Charts.

Upon the release of his debut EP, Danny has received numerous airplay worldwide including plays in the USA, Australia and across Europe as well as the UK. International attention resulted in Danny being chosen to attend Springboard West Festival, San Diego, California in January 2018. This unique opportunity has allowed Danny to make connections with Nashville producers and US managers, all of which have led to incredible feedback and the communication of a UK-US tour in the summer of 2018.

2018 is set to be an exciting time for Danny building on what he has already achieved in such a small period of time. Danny has already began writing in the studio, has a number of gigs and festival slots booked and is currently working on a UK-US tour which is to take place in the summer.
