Decrypted

About

In today’s digital era, where what you see and hear is only what ‘they’ want you to, emerges Decrypted – a Metalcore band set out to awaken you with an explosion of emotion that translates into fast playful riffs and heavy breakdowns, combined with vocals that are as grim and aggressive as they are clean and melodic.
Influenced by Killswitch Engage and Periphery, Decrypted is a dynamic group of culturally diverse talent. With Martin (guitar) and Raf (bass) from Poland, Ric (guitar/vocals) from Portugal and Steve (vocals) from England.
Decrypted started as a project, originally called “Slies”, dreamt up in Poland by guitarist Martin L with Acid (Arkadiusz Podolak) as vocalist.
Forced to move to London in pursuit of a better life, Martin wouldn’t give up on the dream and immediately started looking for a line-up.
The band was formed in early 2013, with the arrival of drummer Ed Junior, and begun at Ed’s place with nothing more than a digital drum kit, a guitar and loads of inspiration.
Shortly after, Ricardo A. joined the guitars and they moved on to practice at Panic Studios in West London.
A year later, the instrumental line-up was finally complete when Rafal Siek brought in his bass guitar skills.
The fact that Acid couldn’t move to London meant the band had to start looking for a new frontman. And towards the end of 2014 Jonny Gray filled the position, recording 3 songs for the first EP.
Six months later Johny decided to pursue his side project, as it needed more focus, leaving the microphones open for a new voice.

The band came alive at the beginning of 2016 with new vocalist Steve Kerr after a name change and full design makeover.
Whilst recording a debut EP, Decrypted have started unveiling their sound to the London public. The amazing response received from live shows, such as Extreme Riot Fest ‘16 and the Heavy Xmas event at the O2 Academy Islington, marked the beginning of what promises to be a successful journey ahead.
