Entropy combines various genres, including alternative indie, soul and jazz. The band formed of vocals, keys, violin and cello take particular inspiration from film scores, which can be seen through their use of soulful string arrangements and jazzy vocals. Their ethereal and ambient instrumentals are prominent throughout their music, adding an exciting twist to their already eclectic style. Their style is also influenced by artists such as Portishead, Zero 7 and Florence + The Machine. The band members all met through their shared passion for music at UCL and decided to form the band on their way to a gig in June 2019. After spending the summer of 2019 writing songs together and gigging around London, they now aim to bring their music to larger audiences and record their songs.
