Born and bred on the Central California Coast, Hazel Iris made her way to the UK via Germany, where she studied Opera Performance. Having found her way to London where she was first inspired to write her own songs, her music is strongly influenced by formats found in the traditions of Lieder and Folk. Writing, recording, and performing live in the UK, she first received radio play by Tom Robinson on BBC Introducing.
