Jansky

About

Jansky is an electroverse duet. But what is electroverse? Well, they came up with this tag to define electronic music created from both organic and inorganic sounds, i.e. bass, synths, birds, stones… Through digital manipulation and sampling, Raume makes these sounds grow on the dancefloor. And on top of that, his hypercontemporary transverse flute and MaLo's unique voice and spoken word impro make the result bloom.

Their debut Un big bang a la gibrella [Primeros Pasitos, 2013] sent them straight to SÓNAR 2013 (Barcelona), and from there they jumped to festivals like Kregi Sztuki (Poland), Monkey Week (Spain), Liverpool Sound City (UK) or Cambridge Poetry Fest (UK), as well as performing in several clubs in Barcelona, Madrid and London during 2014.
On March 2015 they're introducing their second album, ÉÈ, which has been mastered by famed engineer Hay Zeelen (The Prodigy, Tears for fears…). ÉÈ contains eight avantgarde dancefloor tracks, presented with music video 'Apocalipsi', through which Jansky tell us the story of a postapocalyptic (and electrical) lifeform, as a metaphor of a new form of art.

Jansky is, without a doubt, one of the freshest and most sophisticated music projects in Spain and has proven capable of fascinating the European subculture. Their second album is sure to lay the foundations of a new genre: electroverse.
