JT Gautreau is a Dominican born singer-songwriter living in London. His music is hugely inspired by pop melodies and hooks, modern beats and Latin-Caribbean vibes, and his style and sound can be described as unique, complex, dark and high energy. He’s been influenced by soul/blues/pop artists that merge the old with the new like Jacob Banks, Jack Garratt, John Mayer to name a few. Being from Latin America, the Caribbean specifically he’s also been undeniably inspired by important latin artists such as Juan Luis Guerra (Dominican), Luis Miguel as well as others, helping keep that latin flame alive in his songwriting. In 2018, he is introducing himself to the world with an incredibly powerful and intricately dark first single, I Can Barely Breathe. This first release is a three minute and 20 second expression of power that deals with topics such as persecution, oppression and self- doubt but resolves into self-empowerment and freedom. Mixing modern pop melodies and beats with Latin-Caribbean chants and drums, creating something truly unique.
