LIV’n’G Biography November 2017
LIV’n’G are Olivia Crawford (16) and Georgia Fletcher (23), a sister duo who formed just over 12 months ago in Hartlepool, North East of England.
With Olivia’s powerfully emotive vocals and impressive range, coupled with the fantastic musical and production talents of Georgia; the sisters are starting to make waves locally, regionally and nationally.
Influenced by the music of Lauryn Hill, Rihanna and Janelle Monae; their sound is a mix of modern Pop and R’n’B, LIV’n’ G are a modern fresh mixture of Zara Larsson, Tove Lo and Beyonce. Their electro R’n’B original tracks are unique and would easily slot into any music chart in the world.
In the last 12 months they have recorded and released two Charity singles into the charts. Their original song ‘Our Superhero (A Christmas Wish)’, reached number 12 in the Official iTunes charts, whilst helping to raise thousands for Bradley Lowery’s Fight; whilst working on their own sound and EP. More recently, their second single for Bradley Lowery ‘Smile for Bradley’, a revamp and recreation of Charlie Chaplin’s ‘Smile’, which entered the Official Charts Top 40 at Number 4, and was also Number 1 on the Official Trending Charts.
They have performed throughout the UK at various gigs from restaurants and bars to a sold out O2 Academy’ in Newcastle, at Everton Football Ground and at massive events like firework displays to crowds of over 10,000.
The last 12 months have been a whirlwind for 2 sisters, from having a number 4 in the Official UK Charts with ‘Smile for Bradley’, to supporting BBC The Voice Winner Kevin Simm, X Factor favourites Union J, Sam Lavery, Joey Devries, Emily Middlemas, Rebecca Ferguson and the iconic Alexander O’Neal; to recording a number of tracks professionally in London and having amazing meetings with some fantastic labels.
In addition, LIV’n’G won the overall singing competition ‘Beyond The Lights’ and were awarded ‘Best Original Song’ in various national competitions, and Bauer Radio TFM’s ‘Cash For Kids/Big Audition’, performing their original song and also raising almost £6000 in just 2 weeks. To top all of this, they were awarded the ‘Ubeat Pop Act of The Year 2017’ at a packed O2 Academy in Newcastle.
LIV’n’G’s first release is ‘Over You’ a vibrant, island feel, pure pop track, filled with bouncing rhythms and a brass hook that will stay with you long after hearing it; just right to get you in the mood for your holidays. It was released on Friday 2 June 2017 on all digital download and streaming platforms. These girls are certainly a duo to look out for in 2017/18.
They have played to thousands over recent weeks at large firework displays around the country; and are in the process of releasing a Christmas single, One by One, which is being supported by Cash for Kids and Bauer.
Early 2018 should see the release of more chart ready singles ‘Haunting (81 Degrees)’ a deep electro bass driven R’n’B track that would not go amiss in the ‘50 Shades’ movies; whilst ‘Lose Control’ is a rhythm drenched, steel drum infused, electro caribbean feel good track that you should be hearing at all of the top party resorts over the summer period. LIV’n’G released ‘Smile for Bradley’ on an exclusive license from Bourne Music, to raise funds and awareness for Bradley Lowery. The single, was endorsed by the Chaplin organisation and the family also love the video. It was on the bestseller list for Amazon, Google Play and iTunes, and reached number 3 on the iTunes download chart, before entering the official charts at number 4, and has been highlighted on the Vodafone official chart for 2 weeks, at number 4 and 11.
The music campaign video has had over 1 million plays on Facebook, their official single video has been played over 45,000 times in 5 weeks,.
