Mark Wright

About

A chance encounter in Berlin, with members of Spandau Ballet, led to the recording of 8 self-penned tunes. Recorded with, and produced by Toby Chapman (Spandau Ballet keyboards since 1985 and Tom Jones musical director), the album features some outstanding session guys, including Kevin Miller (Ex Style Council), James Nesbitt, who also produced To Be Found (Rod Stewart band, Belinda Carlisle band, Lily Allan & Kylie Minogue)

Listening to the tracks on his album “Flying Solo”, it’s plain to hear where Mark’s musical roots lie. As someone born in the mid 70’s, his teenage years were dominated by the “Madchester” sound and he was heavily influenced by The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, The Smiths etc….. this later led to an Oasis obsession and subsequent love of Noel Gallagher’s solo work. Like most aficionados of these bands, Mark is crazy about Paul Weller, The Who and most importantly The Beatles. Since Flying Solo was released Mark has featured on BBC Introducing and been seen playing live across the South of England.
