Milena, London based singer-songwriter, and piano player, was born and raised in Montenegro. Coming from a musical and artistic family background, she was destined to sing before she even learned to talk. Her musical journey started at the age of seven, winning first prize as the best solo singer at the Children’s Festival “Nasa Radost”. Since then, she has participated in many local and European festivals, often winning first prize. She was a main singer and actress in a number of Children’s TV programs, musicals, TV commercials and live children’s shows. During her Primary school years she began playing classical guitar and piano, continuing with solo singing as a major subject in Music High School, and later on at the Music Academy in Montenegro. The transition from children's performances led on to becoming a backing vocalist for major singers and bands, recording regularly in various music studios, and performing at many live gigs. At the same time, she also worked as a Radio Presenter and Music Journalist at Capital Radio, in Montenegro. She was part of the team on the still very popular evening show, Sedmica, and personal Saturday show Jukebox. Her famous opening jingle for Sedmica is currently still played most evenings. In London, Milena has been a member of the successful duo “Lite Motive” with whom she recorded the album “Love”, which has featured on a “Hits Sheet” compilation in 2004, alongside George Michael and Ronan Keating. Nowdays, Milena is performing as a lead singer for various function bands, and jazz ensembles; recording backing vocals for many musicians across the UK, and recording for Buena Vista International, are just some of the many projects she has been involved with. Her second album “Everyday” is released in September 2017. Milena has written the lyrics and the music for all the tracks on the album, produced by Nikola Kovacevic. She is looking forward to performing this upbeat pop-dance album live in London and much further afield.
