Lots of musicians have day jobs, but not many are doctors. But then there’s lots about Neil Singh which stands him out in today’s scene of young hopefuls. He doesn’t want to make you dance. He’d rather make you think. His poetic lyrics take on challenging themes – from terrorism, to pornography, to the refugee crisis. But he combines these lyrics with a rich, full-band sound (including cello, piano, and electric guitars) that will remind you of Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Nadine Shah and Nick Cave.
