Timbertwig

Timbertwig is an alternative, indie guitar band from London. Their music fuses fragile and melancholic themes and melodies with overdriven amp sonics and big choruses. Timbertwig was formed in May 2016 by Nick Avery and Michal Geisler. Although a ‘new’ band, the group have a long musical history, gigging in Europe and the UK in various bands...Nick Avery (guitar, voice) was the drummer and founder member of the ‘lofi’ 'slow-core' band Tram, signed to Setanta. Tram released three albums, and various other recordings working with producers like John Parish (PJ Harvey) and Dimitri Tikovoi (Placebo, The Horrors). Nick also recorded four ‘John Peel Sessions’, three with Tram, and one with the ‘lofi’ band Broken Dog– at that time signed to ‘Big Cat’. Michal Geisler (bass) has played in various bands in the Czech Republic and been a part of the alternative/underground/DIY scene in Prague. Michal has gigged extensively on the alternative festival circuit and Prague. John Singh (drums) is an in-demand drummer around London. John has joined Timbertwig in 2018 and completed the sound and style of the band.
