Vaughan

About

'A bold introduction' – Alan Raw, BBC Introducing Vaughan is the pseudonym for Thomas Harvey, a British singer/songwriter based in London whose emotive blend of alt-pop, piano and electronic sounds has been likened for its individualism and eloquent lyrical themes of a bruised reality. A multi-instrumentalist (Keyboard, Guitar, Voice), Vaughan has spent a significant part of his life travelling, influenced by artists including Ry X, Banks and Nick Murphy, particularly after living abroad in Australia. Having studied at Leeds College of Music, he now works on the release of his remarkable debut EP co-produced by himself and producer Ryan Phillips as well as executively produced by Trevor Horn MD and arranger, Julian Hinton. Outlining internal narratives of hedonism and anxiety, the EP is an introduction to his growing up as a young gay man which will be released alongside a music video for lead single, “I AM”. Having been awarded a place in the final of the Listen Up Songwriters Festival 2018 against over 2,700 entrants and with appearances at festivals including Liverpool Sound City and You Bloom Festival in Dublin to name a few, Vaughan is set for an exciting year ahead.
