Originally from seaside town, Bournemouth, Yasmin Natasha is a London based entrepreneurial saxophonist, singer-songwriter that oozes positivity, sunshine and beach vibes.
"Creases" EP includes singles "Creases", "This Is Real" and "Soul In My Shoes" where you can hear inspirations such as Paolo Nutini, Jack Johnson, Amy Winehouse, Astrud Gilberto, Stan Getz and Antonio Jobim in her writing plus her contemporary sax melodies which are recurring throughout the EP fused with jazz, reggae and beach-pop musical style. The idea behind "Creases" is to bring sunshine into to the listener's ear with catchy, up-beat melodies in contemporary poetic form. With Yasmin's personal battles she's been able to filter emotion and negative thoughts through playing her sax and writing in the aim to inspire a positive mindset and promote ant-bullying (Anti-Bullying Week Nov 2016) having been through and witnessed others go through a tough time which is the running theme both in her recorded projects and live performances.
2016 proved to be an exciting chapter for Yasmin with some exciting opportunities such as "Creases" aired across BBC stations including BBC Radio London & BBC Introducing South, jamming at BBC Radio Solent, volunteering with GoDifferently (Mahout elephant conservation), performing and hosting at The Troubadour, at the Amazon summer party and Streetchild (Tower of London fundraiser event) as well as self-releasing her EP "Creases" in October, 2016.
