Zophia

About

“Country Alternative with a Pop/Folk Twist. A sassy and Sultry Singer/Songwriter” – The Troubadour, London

"Strong, powerful, yet very real tracks (albeit a little flirtatious!). Awe inspiring.” – Andrew Marston, BBC Introducing

Zophia, full name Zophia Scarlett Amey first got in music by accident. Literally. After a sporting injury too many Zophia picked up the piano and a love story began. After moving from the pretty little town of Worcestershire to the big lights of London, she discovered her passion for songwriting. With her writing style fusing a mix of country, pop, rock and folkish harmonies together to create Americana music with an English rose edge, she soon gained the support of BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcester who featured her on both the radio and on the BBC Introducing stage at the Nozstock Festival 2011. After recording her first demos, Zophia toured in Nashville TN performing in venues such as The HardRock Café Nashville and the famous Tootsies and met with the late Barbra Orbison. Zophia has continued to travel back and forth to the states ever since and in 2012 secured her first publishing deal on music row. 2016 is looking exciting for Zophia with plans to return to the US later in the year. With hopes of getting in the studio, look forward to more songs bursting with the confessions of the heart and the candid truth.
