It’s always hard to predict the next big thing in pop music – that is, unless you’ve come across Michael Fitzgibbon. The 21-year-old singer-songwriter from London has spent the last three years in the studio honing his sound, and is now celebrating the release of his eagerly-awaited debut EP, ‘Songs for Emily’. Inspired by the masters of pop songwriting such as Coldplay, Ed Sheeran and Paul McCartney, Michael’s music balances memorable melodies, impressive musicality and lyrical storytelling for songs that are as cathartic as they are catchy. 2023 sees Michael hit the road with his live band for an impressive run of shows, including dates at Birmingham’s Jam House and Tempo Club, Madrid.
