WAX

Some of the most notable musical works can be immediately recognized through their cover art. A musician’s artwork acts as the first mark of value for their music and creates an initial impression of the music’s message, genre, and more. With the decline in sales of physical mediums of music and the rise of streaming, we think it’s important to acknowledge the beauty of cover art so that artistry of it is not lost in the changing industry.

Today’s ‘Art Appreciation’ is ‘Bedrooms In The Dark’ by WAX.

WAX is a conglomeration of lifelong friends with different musical approaches and tastes, but converging on the idea of playing hard, loud, and with all the energy they can muster. With a frequently rotating lineup, each show has the potential to be completely different.

Members of the group have been playing together since they were teenagers and have to developed the bands sound since then. Intergrating mutual friends and session musicians as the group grew, the WAX sound is full, strong, and full of passion and energy.

Having started playing in Camden, WAX have continued playing in London and beyond. The passion to play is palpable in this group, and they are sure not to dissapoint.
