Today’s Daily Discovery is ‘It Makes Me Wonder’ by Mia Brooks and The Swans
We were supposed to have grown out of this by now!
Mia Brooks & The Swans first made their sound in the ’90s – signed, gigging and chasing that elusive thing called success. More than 20 years later, the original four found themselves back in a room together, and annoyingly, it was really good. Fronted by Mia Brooks, they make guitar-driven British rock ’n’ roll with big hooks, grit, melody, harmonies with a punk attitude.
There’s no manufactured backstory or assembled line-up, just the same four people, a few more grey hairs, better amplifiers and considerably less patience for bullshit. Turns out the story wasn’t finished.
