moon for short is a non-binary artist based in Portsmouth, self-producing songs about living life to the fullest, loving the people around you, and trains. Their 2023 debut EP ‘mind the gap.’ explores themes of love, hardship, triumph, and again, trains. Taking influence from artists such as The Front Bottoms, The Wombats and Bears in Trees, moon for short writes with uplifting honesty and catchy hooks to boot.

Their latest release, ‘THE EDGE (2)’ highlights just how far they’ve come since then, with brand new production bringing one of their older songs into a state fit for 2025.
