I can’t stop listening to Archways this week and with their brand new single “Fast Times” (which was released TODAY!) I can guarantee this will see you well into the summer!

As we move into warmer lighter days, ‘Fast Times’ will surely be my go-to and it should be yours too! The band describe their sound as anthemic and euphoric and I couldn’t agree more. I can see them in coming-of-age movies, they are relatable and break past the barrier of new listening very quickly. Instant familiar favourites in my opinion. And yet at the same time, they’ve got so much range and interest. Their song Closure opens with the sweet soothing sounds of the piano audibly placing you in a more Coldplay or The Script feeling and I suddenly feel I’m back in 2007 with rain pouring down my car window as I blast this tune on full.

Fast Times

The band have a pureness and a rawness about them and I don’t mean in the way of their sound and style necessarily, but on learning that 4 out of 5 of the members had never been in band before, it all made much more sense.

Not clouded by the reworking and reimagining of previous sounds, the band seem to bring their freshness and their unfiltered magic to both their performing and
writing. With a whole lot of potential, I cannot wait to see where the next few years take them – surely only to great places!
