Big Big Big energy from this band. King Cerulean have a sound that hits you with oomph, bounces around the walls and warps you into, what can only be described as, an instant vibe.

The band say themselves that they ‘aim to constantly lift spirits and spread positivity’ and they certainly keep their promises! With a rich and unique blend of genres, the Cardiff-based indie funk band are definitely ones to watch. From open mics to sold out venues, look no further for your new favourite band – you’ve found them!

On top of the catchy melodies, funky guitars and animated vocals, it’s always very pleasing when a band or an artist indulge us in a cheeky horn section every now and again.

And King Cerulean don’t just indulge us, they submerge us! Particular stand out examples are their tracks, Situation, Dynamite and Mango Kiwi Coconut. Which can be found on their EP “The Other Side of the Night”. If you want to break a smile today, go and have a listen.

Something extremely wonderful about King Cerulean is their accessibility. Which, granted, sounds a little weird as a compliment but there’s no other word for it. I reckon these lads cross the age barrier, the genre barrier, the gender barrier, you name it – they can cross it. I love finding bands with music for anyone and everyone and this lovely lot are a prime example.
