Easy listening at its finest. Funky and fun. Undeniably exhilarating. Sometimes, I find music makes you think too much and can feel invasive. It’s just the opposite with The WildViolets.

Their super smooth sound flows perfectly into the ears and I could listen to these guys on repeat all day and night.

I was getting ready to go out the other night and was looking through my Spotify with little inspiration to power the effort needed to actually get ready. You know how it can be?! And then luckily, I remembered this wonderful band. With funky Jamiroquai inspired rhythms and their lead singer Brooke Davies energetic and zestful vocals; the band carry you nicely into the night with a feel good attitude now flowing through you.

I think it can be hard to find an artist or a band who can take you from day to night but this lot have got your back.

Lady in Black

The WildViolets

A top favourite track of mine (although you should really listen to all three of their releases because they’re just great!!) is Lady In Black. A recent release of theirs but definitely one of their grooviest tracks. I implore you to give it a listen. Nothing but feel-good vibes and material to fire-up your best dance moves. They’re the kind of band to make you light up. You literally cannot help but smile when you hear them. In times like these when you need a break from all the soppy sad stuff surrounding us, you NEED bands like The WildViolets. And more than their digital releases, you HAVE to see them live!

Boasting a rich horn section and groovy bass-lines, the band are certainly paving the way through the London funk scene, having already played at prestigious venues such as Camden Assembly and the O2 Academy Islington. The dynamic band are headlining – as they rightly should – a show @Camden Assembly on the 9th December with new music you don’t want to be missing. So do yourself a favour and go grab your tickets.

WARNING: Please be prepared for the uncontrollable movement of your feet all night – definitely bring your dancing shoes!
