Madeleine May is an 18-year-old student from Yorkshire – who only picked up a guitar for the first time in 2022. After a hectic end to 2025 with performances at Live at Leeds in the City and Noise in the Valley festivals, a Live Lounge session at Beckview Studios, and a headline show at HPBC – Madeleine is releasing the first track from her upcoming EP. Very much influenced by the likes of Lizzy McAlpine, Joni Mitchell and Phoebe Bridgers – her happy and approachable demeanour often sees her referred to as the ‘girl next door’, no airs or graces but a real person with real life angst and apprehensions but very much friendly and relatable.
