For Rosa Cecilia, lyrics are a lens into the angst of her generation. From judgmental stares on queer love to sociopolitical disparities, her writing aims to pacify the misunderstood tensions in each of us. Sonically soulful and jazz-inspired, her influences range from Badu and Solange to Carly Simon and Jeff Buckley.

Rosa released her debut EP, Take None, in 2021. The projected resonated with her growing audience, who showed their support, packing out Next Door Records to celebrate the launch of Take None. In 2022, Rosa’s plans are emblamatic of an artist inspired and full of ambition, with collaborations planned with some of the UK’s most exciting producers, artists and collectives.
