We all remember hearing that one song that changed everything we thought we knew about music. Well, we can’t get enough of new music, and ‘Making Waves’ is your guide to the new artists disrupting the scene…
Making Waves today is Back to the 90s by Acres and Oceans !
Three brothers from Caterham. Three musicians, creating music in their homes.
The band grew up around music where their Irish grandfather would play box ‘n’ fiddle nights across the south east with his accordion. With an eclectic history of music that stretches to classical instrumentation, the music is the sum of their musical pasts giving a modern yet authentic folk vibe. Calling to play the mandolin, guitar, drums and their voices to produce and big driving folky sound, Acres and Oceans were formed.
Gigging the London scene created heights of supporting The Libertines bassist band ‘John Hassall and The April Rainers’ at Proud Camden and the 02 Academy Islington on multiple occasions.
