The Worry People

Who are The Worry People?

Two long time friends who met in school and started playing The 1975 covers. Sam Stewart (guitar & vocals) and Ryan Dodd (drums & emotional support) have taken inspiration from artists such as Kings Of Leon, Sam Fender and that one album by Deaf Havana to craft 4 EPs over the last 2 years. After playing extensively across the Kent scene, the boys are now hitting the road in June to see how many Wetherspoons they can go to across the UK. They’ll be playing songs too.

For those that don’t know The Worry People, describe your act in just a few sentences.

We try to convey more sincerity in the studio versions of our songs, but we like to kick it up for the live shows. It’s a sound that gets the sound guys asking “is the bass supposed to sound like that? Crushed?”. Yes. Yes, it is.
