Today’s One To Watch is Gaslight by AYA

“Powerful, emotive, engaging and energetic” – GetIntoThis Magazine. London born, Liverpool based artist AYA is an artist whos music delves between the worlds of R&B, HipHop and Folk. Watching two of his older brothers play the guitar and keyboard influenced AYA to learn the guitar and learn to sing. Starting with hip/hop and rap as a youngster, poetry and engaging sounds come to the fore with his lyricism and vocal range. Using R&B tones with middle eastern effects, has allowed him to create a signature sound he calls “Anthemic R&B Folk Pop” – from starting just over 3 years ago, to playing sold out shows at the 02 Academy and festivals all across the nation.

WANT TO HEAR MORE? AYA is taking part in RISING, our brand new series of live-streamed events, which aims to support and raise money for War Child UK to assist their work during the Covid-19 crisis.

HOT VOX have raised thousands of pounds for War Child through live gigs and events over the past two years. Now we’re taking RISING online, and with the help of our immensely talented roster of artists, we hope to raise even more vital funds for this valuable cause.
