Today’s One To Watch is TRY HARD BLUES by PART BAT

Part Bat, AKA Hannah Maryse Robinson was raised on 70’s folk rock and the 24-hour news cycle. She writes anxious, apocalyptic Americana that you can bop to. After years of creating bedroom music, she found herself in Berlin, where she played endless bar shows and played bass for psychedelic acts like Soft Milk and Sour Janes. She released her debut solo album Daywasters in July 2023. Produced by Francisco Cabala (of Chicos de Nazca), it’s an album about making the best of a world that seems to be hurtling towards the end. Since moving back to London, Hannah’s put together a UK band, and is gearing up to release a new EP, in early 2024.
