In our opinion, nothing makes you feel quite as immersed within an artist’s music – actually, you can’t beat a live show atmosphere for full immersion but we’re definitely biased there.. Today’s One To Watch is ‘Tired of Waiting’ by Telling Secrets.

Telling Secrets is an Emo-tinged modern rock band formed by Vik Kovacs.

Kovacs started his project, Telling Secrets in 2021. He teamed with Rain City Drive vocalist, Matt McAndrew who guided his initial song writing.

Vik Kovacs recently won the Hungarian Petőfi single award ran by the Hungarian national radio station. Kovacs was a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition 2022 as well as the International Songwriting Competition 2022 with one of his unreleased songs being up for contention to be a finalist in the latter contest.

Telling Secrets has been included on Amazon Music’s “Best New Bands” editorial playlist and has featured on Digital Tour Bus & HammerWorld (HU).

Manchester, UK, formed, Surrey/Los Angeles based Telling Secrets are set to release “Tired Of Waiting” on 28^th July with a new-look music video, recorded in Manchester, marking the next era for the band. The track will be a part of their early 2024 full length LP written exclusively by Vik Kovacs and it premiered on BBC Introducing Sussex & Surrey on 6th July. ‘I wrote the song in Los Angeles and partially recorded it with producer duo Rachel Blum and Elliot Polokoff (Cemetery Sun) and I’m over the moon with how it came out’ – Kovacs stated.

Telling Secrets’ emo-tinged modern rock sound is driven by thunderous guitars, angelic vocals, and sinister, atmospheric synthesisers. Stories are hidden between the bricks and bones of each song delivered by Kovacs’ ‘fearless with an undaunted voracity’ (AMP).

“Tired of Waiting” has already received support from BBC Introducing Radio, East London Rocks Radio, Emerging Rock Bands Radio, Rock Rage Radio, Hypernova Radio, Scotland Rocks Radio & Radio Northwhich. Telling Secrets will be live in London at The Macbeth on 5th October 2023 at a showcase presented by HOTVOX.
